Tipperary County Council has been informed that Vodafone plans to switch off its 3G network in the county next week.
Their existing 3G network will upgrade to a more sustainable and reliable 4G and 5G network service, with the 3G service no longer being available.
For those with a 4G or 5G-enabled smartphone or device, this change is not likely to affect you.
Vodafone has already retired its 3G services in Limerick, Cork, Galway and Dublin city.
Vodafone has provided Information for their customers on their website and in their stores.
Clear Mobile and An Post Mobile use the Vodafone network, so this means that 3G services for their customers will also be retired.
