
Tipperary County Council’s Crisis Management Team and Severe Weather Activation Team this afternoon to discuss Storm Éowyn Wind Warning issued by Met Eireann.
The majority of trees have now been removed and only a small number of roads remain closed, a full list of known and verified road closures per district is available on the Council’s website. www.tipperarycoco.ie
Members of the public can contact Tipperary County Council Customer Service Desk on 0818 06 5000/6000 or a dedicated Severe Weather contact No. 0818 06 5001 until 22.00 tonight, following which the calls will be transferred to the Council’s Out-of-hours contact no. 0818 06 5003 for the weekend.
Tipperary County Council is now fully engaged across the county in works to ensure that roads are made passable and returned to normal across the 5 Districts. Following a meeting of the Crisis Management Team this evening at 17.30, it has been decided to stand down the Crisis Management and SWAT Teams as the time period for the Code Red Severe Weather Alert has passed and services are now returning to normal.
