Tipperary County Council has published its "Draft Tipperary County Council Climate Action Plan 2024 – 2029" and is now seeking submissions and observations until Monday 6th November 2023.
The Draft Plan has been prepared in close collaboration with a range of stakeholders. The purpose of the plan is to deliver at a local and community level the National Climate Action Objective to achieve by no later than 2050 a climate resilient, biodiversity rich, environmentally sustainable and carbon neutral economy.
The Draft Plan will set out a pathway for how the Council will reduce its own greenhouse emissions and mainstream climate adaption and mitigation across Council services to help communities and sectors achieve their own climate action targets.
