For a free, unrestricted and unworried life people need to feel safe. In this context, having "eyes on the ground" in order to deter and reduce crime and offences, to better understand and respond to emergencies and to create safer communities is a key challenge for the County Council. Many communities have requested over the years the installation or an increase in the presence of CCTV for a better response to local concerns in relation to public order and safety in public places, dealing with offences and increasing the overall community safety.
