Intention to close the M8 Motorway, Co. Tipperary.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED:

Closure 1: The M8 Motorway at Junction 6 (Horse and Jockey/Thurles) Southbound on-ramp.

Closure 2: The M8 Motorway at Junction 8 (Cashel/Fethard/Clonmel) Southbound on-ramp.  

Closure 3: The M8 Motorway at Junction 9 Southbound (Cashel/Tipperary) off-ramp.

Closure 4: The M8 Motorway at Junction 9 (Cashel/Tipperary) Northbound on-ramp.

Closure 5: The M8 Motorway at Junction 8(Cashel/Fethard/Clonmel) Northbound off-ramp.

Closure 6: The M8 Motorway at Junction 10 (Cahir) Northbound on-ramp.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE:

Closure 1,2 & 3: 20:00hrs on Monday the 03 April 2023 to 07:00hrs on Tuesday 04 April 2023.

Closure 4 & 5:  20:00hrs on Tuesday 04 April 2023 to 07:00hrs on Wednesday 05 April 2023.

Closure 6: 20:00hrs on Wednesday 05 April 2023 to 07:00hrs on Thursday 06 April 2023.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:

Closure 1:  Traffic will be diverted to travel along the R639 and join the M8 Motorway at Junction 7.

Closure 2:  Traffic will be diverted via Cashel and will join the M8 Motorway at Junction 9.

Closure 3: Traffic will continue on the M8 Motorway and exit at Junction 8.

Closure 4: Traffic will be diverted via Cashel and will join the M8 Motorway at Junction 9.

Closure 5: Traffic will continue on the M8 Motorway and exit at junction 9.

Closure 6: Traffic will divert to join the M8 Motorway at Junction 9.

REASON FOR CLOSURE:

To facilitate roadworks.
