NOTICE is hereby given that Tipperary County Council proposes to make an Order closing:

Phased closures of the R497 & R503 at Knockmaroe Junction, Kilcommon, Co. Tipperary. |

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: |
07:00hrs on Monday 18 September 2023 to 19:00hrs on Friday 22 September 2023. |

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: |
R503 West Bound: From Thurles to Limerick: via R498 to Nenagh and M7 to Limerick. From Milestone to Kilcommon: south via R497 and L1152 to Boulanunane and north to the R503 at Loughbrack via L5108. R503 East Bound: From Kilcommon to Thurles: via L2266 to Reiska, R497 to Dolla, R499 to Ballinamona and R498 to Thurles. R497 North & South Bound: Via R503 to McCormack’s Cross and L2266 to Kilcommon and Reiska and vice versa. |

REASON FOR CLOSURE: |
To facilitate the installation of Hot Rolled Asphalt as part of the upgrade to the R503/ R497 Junction Knockmaroe, Kilcommon, Co.Tipperary

Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh not later than 12 noon on Thursday 24 August 2023 or by e-mail to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
