Local authorities may mark significant historical events by hosting commemoration ceremonies or exhibitions, laying wreaths, holding prayer or memorial services, or planting trees.
Local authorities may provide support to groups of local residents and landowners for the restoration of non public local roads serving their properties. Residents and landowners must pay a community contribution to the restoration works.
Owners of private residential properties, which were not the owner's main residence during the years 2009 to 2013, must pay a charge on the property to the Non Principal Private Residence Bureau through the local authority.
