Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC) are a key structure identified by Government to plan and co-ordinate services for children and young people in every county in Ireland. The overall purpose is to improve outcomes for children and young people through local and national interagency working.
Local authorities, together with Fáilte Ireland, may provide financial support to business and community groups to support events and festivals in culture, food, sports and activity based tourism to attract visitors.
Local Enterprise Offices may provide financial support to small businesses to help them trade online, develop their websites and develop digital marketing strategies.
Local authorities, together with Irish Water Safety, may run lifesaver training courses, beach lifeguard academies, and safe swimming and boating campaigns to promote water safety on public beaches, lakes and waterways.
Local authorities may provide financial support to private homeowners who do not have access to a public water supply or group water scheme to bore a new well, upgrade an existing well or install a treatment system.
