Following the passage of Storm Darragh overnight, Tipperary County Council is advising the public that there were many downed trees, debris, and some structural damage across the county. Roads Crews are currently assessing issues and clearing fallen trees and debris.
The public is encouraged to report any issues to the out-of-hours emergency contact number: 0818 06 5003.
Crews are prioritising the clearing of National and Regional routes, with work expected to continue throughout the day.
Driving conditions are expected to be hazardous throughout the weekend. Residents are advised to monitor Met Éireann forecasts at https://www.met.ie/ for the most up-to-date information. Updates will also be available on social media platforms and news media outlets.
ESB Networks has issued a warning about the dangers of fallen live wires and urges the public and emergency services to stay away from any fallen cables. Any incidents should be reported immediately to ESB Emergency Services at 1800 372 999. Updates on power restoration times can be found at www.PowerCheck.ie.
