Tipperary County Council are delighted to announce that GLAS Civil Engineering Ltd.  have been awarded the construction works contract for Phase 1 of the Carrick-on-Suir Regeneration Plan “A Journey from the Suir Blueway to the Ormond Castle Quarter”. The value of this Phase 1 contract is €2,387,966.99 which is being funded by the Rural Regeneration Development Fund and part funded by Tipperary County Council. The contract was signed on 24th. October 2023 at Carrick-on-Suir Municipal District Offices, New Street, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary. This project has evolved and developed over a number of years with invaluable support and input from Carrick-on-Suir Tourism and Economic Development Committee and multiple stakeholders and with extensive public consultation greatly influencing the design of the scheme.
