CLÁR 2024 – Measure 1: Developing Community Facilities & Amenities Grants

The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, launched the 2024 CLÁR Scheme on Friday 12th April 2024.
Under Measure 1 of the 2024 initiative, grants from €5,000 to €50,000 are being provided to support the development of community and sports facilities, youth clubs, playgrounds, sensory gardens, walking tracks and much more.
Tipperary County Council is now seeking expressions of interest in this scheme to determine the 15 project applications which can be selected by the Council for onward submission to the Department for consideration.

County Tipperary Leader Consultation Survey Now Open

It is anticipated that the new programme shall open for applications in Q4 2023, and hopes to build on achievements from delivery of previous programmes. Funding will be available for both commercial and community-based projects.

River Ara Walkway- Tipperary Town Open

Tipperary Cahir Cashel Municipal District wishes to advise that the River Ara Walkway in Tipperary Town is open to the public from today, 22nd December, 2022. Further works on the boardwalk, playground, planting and landscaping will be completed early in the new year.

On Thursday 23rd June Tipperary Age Friendly hosted an Age Friendly EXPO in the TUS College Campus in Thurles. We had a very successful and enjoyable afternoon, with 60 stands featuring agencies showcasing how we can contribute to positive ageing within County Tipperary.
