The Fire Service will continue to respond to calls via the 999/112 system.

Submission of Fire Safety Certificates and Disability Access Certificates will continue to be accepted by post or preferably by email – ; The building control management system (BCMS) will remain available for the submission of Commencement Notices/ 7day notices and compliance on completion certificates;

Tipperary Fire & Rescue Service maintains round the clock emergency cover to protect life and property. There are twelve fire stations in the county based at:

  • Borrisokane
  • Cahir
  • Carrick-on-Suir
  • Cashel
  • Clonmel
  • Cloughjordan
  • Nenagh
  • Newport
  • Roscrea
  • Templemore
  • Thurles
  • Tipperary Town

The fire fighters based at these stations undergo continuous training to ensure that the service we provide is of the highest possible standard. In addition, fire officers are available to give fire safety advice and to ensure that standards are properly maintained to ensure public safety. On average the fire service attends over 1500 incidents per year.

The fire service headquarters is based at Limerick Road, Nenagh. These offices administer all items relating to the operational fire service, fire safety, building control, emergency planning and petroleum licensing.
