Open Call for organisations interested in hosting events for Culture Night 2023.

What is Culture Night?
Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. It will take place on Friday 22nd September, 2023 from 4pm till late. Arts and cultural organisations present hundreds of free events, tours, talks & performances for you, your family and friends to enjoy. Building on the great success of previous years, County Tipperary will again celebrate Culture Night in 2023. Coordinated by Tipperary County Council, we are now inviting arts organisations, creative practitioners, artists, performers, community groups and schools to hold an event(s).

Culture Night is brought to you by The Arts Council in partnership with Tipperary County Council.

What types of events could I hold?

Culture night is an opportunity to showcase unique cultural and arts events using venues such as museums, galleries, castles, libraries, heritage and arts centres, interesting buildings, places and public spaces.

·Cultural trails

·Walking tours

·Outdoor projections on buildings

Artist in Primary School Scheme 2023

The scheme provides funding to a professional artist of any discipline to work in a school for 50 hours on a project designed collaboratively between the school and the artist. The quality and diversity of the work that has been created by Tipperary students working with artists has been outstanding. The scheme provides opportunities for children to access and to engage with an artist and the language of creativity at an early age; and for schools and teachers to work collaboratively across curriculum areas.
