Local authorities regulate the discharge of liquids and sewage to rivers, lakes and the sea.

Public Awareness and Communications Programme (PACP)

Tipperary County Council  has  established  a  Public Awareness and Communications Programme (PACP) to ensure that the Public are informed of and can obtain environmental information relating to the discharges from the Wastewater Treatment  Plants within the County which have been licenced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

A hard copy of the Public Awareness File (PAF) is available to view at the Water Services Section of Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Clonmel.  

The Office opening hours are from 9am  to  5pm  Monday to Friday. Telephone 0761 065000.

The Public Awareness File (PAF) contains information relating to the following Wastewater Discharge Licences (WWDLs).
